The main fabric is made from repurposed net curtains. Two different sets were made which gives you different textures. These were discovered in a charity shop.
The right hand front panel is extremely unique. This is a hand crafted cross stitch of a Lancaster aircraft ED909 during the 617 Son Dams raid in May 1943. We bought this piece second hand when it was framed, and we fell in love!
The lace trimming along the back of the jacket is a vintage lace. Approximately 120 years old, my grandmother gave me a collection of her mother’s lace off cuts.
All in all this is a very special garment, lots of love in this one!
